There is something that I have noticed when the name of Christian leaders are mentioned in a forum.
First, someone immediately will call them a heretic, false teacher, selfish money grubber who is fleecing the flock, etc, etc. Second, that post will be followed by another defending the named Christian leader claiming that he is a Holy man of God, teaches the word, and so what if he is not perfect, nobody is.
I am wondering if those who post their opinions have offered up one single prayer for, against, because of, or in spite of the Christian leader before they have posted.
Obviously when a Christian leader is being examined in these forums he can not be both an anointed Holy man of God, and a money grubbing false teacher.
I would like to challenge those of you who have spent countless hours typing either for or against the Christian leaders, to spend even half as much time in prayer for them.
Tell God your opinion of the person in question.
And then ask God what His opinion is.
Ask God to jerk the sheep suit off of the wolves. Ask God to protect those who are true men of God. Tell God if you think they should or should not have a car or an airplane. Tell God if you think it is fake when the man claims to lay hands on the sick and they recover. Tell God what you think. And then stop long enough for Him to tell you what He thinks. Then ask God to bless the true teachers of the gospel, even if you can't stand the style of shoes he wears.
You may find out that God says that you are right on target with your opinions. Or you may find out that you have been attacking God's chosen people and supporting the wolves. You will never know until you ask. If you want the false teachers removed, you have to ask God to do it.
I am amazed at the number of people who will respond with some nonsense like "I don't have to ask God about Brother So and so, I can see it for myself." In other words, "I don't want to know what God has to say, I would rather lean on my own understanding." I thought about adding this poll option "No, I would rather murmur about them"
