Growth Mediocre Christianity

Yep, I do believe you're right. I can not doubt but I don't want to falsely believe anything either, like oh we're all the bride of Christ. No. I have to set the bar higher on myself and dig deeper and seek harder. It does say who seeks finds, so that's encouraging! :)
Yes, it does. If you a seeking it is because the Lord is putting it in your heart to do so.

i found that it was like breaking any addiction time heals.. after time those shows seem like a distant memory. This world we live in isn't anything at all like the world we were born into, we read the story of David when he met that giant and wish we had his courage surprise guys we do have that courage be strong in the Lord and the power of his might its a gift from God he has given us his holy spirit not a spirit of fear. The devil wants to keep us in remembrance of the good ole days well what was so good about them.. a world where you lock your doors put bars on the windows as they do in some cities they are filthy with the spirit of fear, feel confident in knowing God has stationed his angels all about us protecting us from Satan and his angels..

John 20:2
2 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him./(KJV)

Sorry, I thought it was common knowledge that John was the disciple that Jesus loved. As for him perhaps being the only one that may be a bride of Christ...that is something I wondered and certainly do not know as a fact. I postulated that since Jesus didn't really say this about any other disciple, that perhaps it was so.

This scripture is John talking about John. It is not Jesus saying John is the disciple Jesus loved.
John is the only one who ever said, John was the disciple Jesus loved. :)

John knew that Jesus loved him, he never says he was more loved than the others. John Knew he was loved.

So my friend Edward, does Jesus love you? YES Edward is the disciple that Jesus loves. :sohappy

I like how you say that. Perhaps I think too much, lol. :)

I think that to be more than a mediocre Christian that we need to exercise our spiritual senses. To put them into use and not just read about them. Believe in the invisible world because it sure is here. If we don't then we...don't even come into the full promise of what we were given? For example:

Hebrews 11:27 (it's talking about Moses in the desert for 40 yrs)
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible./(KJV)

Now that gives perspective, Praise the Lord. :)

Exactly Edward! exercise exercise exercise.. Chapter 11 of Hebrews is the best chapter on faith throughout the bible.. take this verse for example..

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Do we want to please our maker "yes we can" do we want to have a life filled with the joy of the Lord "yes we can" do we want to have the courage of David when he faced Goliath "yes we can" do we want to be rewarded "Yes We Do"

Praise The Lord..:)
