Men's underwear styles and faith

My apologies I don't know if this is the right place to be posting this question, but I have been a Christ follower for 35 years and I also wear men's bikini briefs, string bikinis and thongs; these are the styles of underwear that I've preferred wearing since I was 15 there's nothing I feel that is sexual or perverse about it it's just the styles that I enjoy wearing. I grew up in the late 70s and 1980s when these styles were very popular among young men and teenage boys alike. Then in the late 1990s, it suddenly became a gay issue. I remember when it was not. It was quite common to go to any public beach and you would see a lot of men wearing bikini style swim briefs. That being said, according to Biblical standards, what does the Bible say? I know that in the Book of Deuteronomy, it says that men who wear women clothing are an abomination to the Lord, also women who wear men's garments, yet men's briefs are designed for men and worn by men. I've never met a woman who wears men's underwear. The briefs that I wear are designed for men they have extra room in the front for the male anatomy and cannot be considered women's underwear. What are your thoughts? Thank you

There are plenty of lesbians who wear men's clothing and have their hair cut short, and if you look closer you will not see any of them wearing lipstick or nail varnish, and their fingernails will be cut short like a man's. I dread to think what gay men wear, but don't worry, God knows our hearts, and he knows his children, so follow Him and his example all the days of your life and live normally. That is my advice.

Footnote. Being a Christian, I did not believe in sex outside of marriage. Our wedding night was a disaster. She should have had the decency to tell me she was a lesbian, but she didn't. It has ruined my life. I never remarried after she died. Things have been horrible, and I still yearn for a woman's love. I did not know any of the above until much later. I was like a lamb to the slaughter, but I am 78 now, so it is too late. P.S. We did have a lovely daughter who she abandoned to me, and now I have two beautiful granddaughters. Actually life now is quite good, so don't feel sorry for me. :)

There is nothing biblical or christian about wearing underwear. (unless you are a priest from ancient Israel preforming animal sacrifices) Exodus 28:42

So I would think you can wear (or not) what ever you like.

Now I've seen it all in thread topics, lol. :hysterical

I don't wear tighty whiteys or tighty reddies at the beach. Tighty whiteys are a diaper almost, like Boxer traing pants.

It goes, Diapers, Training pants, underwear (Tightys), tighty whiteys, Boxer shorts. I've heard some guys get stuck on tighty whiteys.

I have been wearing men's bikini underwear since I was 14. It's just what I prefer wearing, but all my life I've had people tell me that wearing men's bikini and thong underwear is gay, or sissy and that it means I'm a homosexual. I personally don't believe that and I usually just ignore them and disregard such opinions as idiocy and ignorance.

Hi, J...
Welcome to the site.
I don't believe a Christian man, or woman, would ever appear on a beach half naked.
So your question is moot.

Welcome aboard.

I have the right to remain silent. If I give up the right to remain silent, folks will know too much about me.

Yes, the theological implications are staggering…

This thread will definitely remake the overall Christian web presence - it is definitely the pinnacle of online religion.

It is rumored that Buddy the Mouse may return to the forum to get to the bottom of this underwear business.

I used to be on another forum where there were a few "Christian Naturists." Nudists. They even had naked worship services (Baptist I believe) done at a christian nudist camp somewhere in Virginia.

So perhaps that makes it moot in the opposite direction; but if they are willing to be completely in the buff, I doubt they would have any qualms appearing "... on a beach half naked."

Naked worship services. No True Church would even consider such a ridiculous idea. How sad, especially for the children who also may have attended. And if they don't attend, thank God!

Why should I even begin to care about this? And why in the world would you tell people these things? I mean, if you know certain people will disagree, then why would you invite criticism over the matter?

Honestly, I’m appalled that you would even tell us this. You don’t know me personally and I don’t need to know these things about you. If you want to wear a thong, then go for it. But why do you have such a need for other people to accept it? Why are you seeking approval? For me, it’s something that doesn’t sit well with me and I can’t even fathom the thought let alone reading about it. But I’m not you.
