where in the bible or the dictionary does mercy mean obedience?

i want to first make it clear that obedience is needed. however there is a good obedience and a bad. but i am not going to get into that right now. i just people to understand that i am not telling anyone that disobedience is right.

mercy is what Christ did on the cross. yes he is Gods perfect sacrifice for us. this is true. however Jesus had the authority at anytime to not go through with the cross. it is as he answered the high priests " I can call upon ten thousand legions of angels and they will rescue me". oh yes he could have at anytime.

but he didn't, rather he chose to die on the cross and get whipped and beaten, his face smacked and his beard pulled out, spat upon and mocked. for what did he do this. TO SAVE THE EXACT SAME PEOPLE THAT WERE DOING IT TO HIM. thats right we all did it. every man woman and child did it. we all sinned and we all crucified Jesus Christ on that cross.

the mercy is that he loved us enough to go through with it that we may be saved.
