That's because the late December date isn't biblical. Even though I think the December celebration is based on daylight length, it does have the great majority of people in Christian nations (and others) thinking about the incarnation of the Lord and Savior. That in itself is very, very desirable.

As an FYI, AIG is not a real person. Instead, it is an RSS feed.

If you want to figure out when Jesus was born, the best starting point is with John the Baptist. His Father was from the line of Aarron which is why he was serving in the Temple when he was told he would have a son. David put a schedule together when Aaron's decedents would serve. This gives us exactly what month he served to which we can then calculate the birth month of Jesus.
