What kind of messages do you enjoy? Do you like it when the preacher screams and shouts in demonstratic emphasis? E.g

'Rise up and tell your neighbor you are blessed!
Walk up to five people and tell them It shall be done!!
If you need a miracle rise up and shout Halleluyah!!!'

Or.

'And He said in the book of Mark....do this and do that..' kind of in a drawl...slow and persistent talking.

Or

The very strict (permit me to say florrid) messages that seem to be directly directed at the members: A soul that sins must die! You people full of immorality...'

Actually I love lighthearted sermons. Wow! Sermons with realities and stories and lively instances...stuff that have to do with our homes, testimonies, miracles, deliverances etc... (I wouldn't sleep):lol

That's a hard one to answer. My Pastor emphasises that all parts of the overall message are equally important. I'm sure you'll agree with that.... So as an adult I understand that I better pay attention to them all.

I suppose my favorite type (If I had to pick) deal with grace and implication to modern times. Sometimes my Pastor gets real fired up, but most of the time he's somewhere between a quieter lecture type and full blown shouting for joy mode.

Yeah - all are very important. People kind of repulse the sermons that kind of condemn people...telling them how evil they are.

Jesus spoke more about hell than anybody.

If a church brings in new people constantly, these messages need to be heard.

Yes. Salvation message is very very important. Also how we present it is important. A harsh sermon can get one hardened

Well. It's good to know that God speaks through people.
