Anyone tried the Beta? Apparnatly from what I've heard it's pretty awesome, and won't take much getting used to, especially compared with 2003 to 2007.

Comments, anyone?

I don't want to shell out cash for something in which I'll never use half the features anyway. I prefer Open Office.
I don't mind spending the $500 for the ultimate edition, becasue I use lots of the programs quite often, and don't mind paying for something I'm going to be using often. I reckon OneNote is one of the best inventions ever. Does OpenOffice have anything like OneNote?

I'm a real Microsoft/Adobe kind of person.

I also get this massive discount becasue I'm still a student! Yay! $165 for ultimate! :)

All the versions of Microsoft Office are the same to me. Sure, it might look a bit different and the spell check might be better, but its pretty much the same thing. I'm still using Microsoft 2000 lol, 'cause my computer is an ancient piece of junk that was buy one get one free 7 years ago. I'll probably use 2010 if it comes with the laptop I buy for university in a year and a bit. Hope my current computer can survive 'till then, its functional but I get the blue screen of death every day, haha.

What OS are you running?

The look of Office '07 was quite different, with the introduction of the 'ribbon', which took a while to get used to, but now that I've gottten used to it, I quite like it. I think it's a great step forward, and if you get the chance definately get the new version when it comes out later this year. But you may need to upgrade your system to a better OS and more RAM if your computer is slow. And get a new processor. So basically get a new computer.

I know how it feels - all these new software and games come out that require us to usually upgrade parts of our computers, that's the only thing that annoys me about being interested in computers. It can end up quite expensive.
