I like that he doesn't take Gervais" attacks on Christianity personally.
He dissects each sarcastic joke , objectively, clinically. This is what we have to if we have pretentions of defending the faith. We must not react emotionally not negatively to nasty humour.
I've heard the Santa Claus analogy. "Children stop believing in Santa by age 7. So why do Christians believe in an imaginary friend until adulthood?"

I agree the Santa analogy is condescending. I habe heard it uses in a way to explain that many ex Christians look at Their faith similar to how they eventually stopped believing in Santa. Its just nit a good point to use on others.

Comparing how much more complex Christian faith can be. Bible study, prayer, fellowship, church. It's ridiculous.

Agreed. I think many younger Ex belivers latch onto it for the zing favtor. I try to avoid snappy attacks like that because its over simplifying.
