It's hit me in prayer for 2 days now that many Christians don't read the 'Old Testament' as they think that title means it's obsolete
A classic phrase that Bible teachers use to unite the Bible - as it's meant to be - is...
"The New is in the Old concealed..
& the Old is in the New revealed!"
But many who love Psalms, Proverbs, the history books, law books & poetry baulk at the Prophets
& even many who love the Major Prophets ignore the Minor Prophets, so it's vital to say that 'Minor' does not mean insignificant: it only means that those books are substantially shorter than Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel & Zechariah
But their messages are just as vital - especially as so much of Bible prophecy shows - just as clear as lightning crosses the sky & just as dramatically as labour pains grip a mother-to-be - that we are in the climax generation of all history, that will see Messiah return
Last 2/3 times I've 'sat on the throne' (if you pardon a Brit euphemism!), I've read 1/2 of the 'Minor Prophets' each time
To save missing autologout, I'll post this now & yahoo online Bible Handbook, online Bible commentaries & Minor Prophets overview
& to save exceeding recommended post length, I'll paste results in a reply
I'll close by encouraging you that I've been greatly blessed, these past 2 days, by using my Life Application Study Bible to re-read Habakkuk, Haggai, Nahum & Zephaniah
In this soundbite generation, the fact that each is just 2/3 chapters means some readers will be so gripped & thrilled by seeing God's Word come true
Before Our Eyes...

God bless! 8-)
