Faith is the activator wherein one will believe that it will happen...or not. Then it will, or will not happen.
But where does one find that kind of faith and be able to hang on to it once they do.
I won't go into details but have been praying for nearly a year now for something, something within reason that I would see as a miracle . The fact I pray for it everyday shows I have faith he can do it and I am sure of that but do I have enough faith that he will do it? Again, it's within reason and I have also gotten rid of my major sins, not sin completely but within what I think he thinks is reasonable.
I had been dwelling on the "faith that he will" part for some time now and somehow, just a few days ago, I think I had that faith twice for just a few seconds each time. Not sure where I found it or how I could have held on to it but it felt real good and I was positive I had finally gotten to that point. It was like, "what are you worried about, it's going to happen" and for those few moments, I believed it 100% ...my concern over it was completely gone. Wish I knew how to get that back so I can practice hanging on to it. Keep trying? well, that got me to that point so, that may be all there is too it and I will, but just wondered if anyone had suggestion in that area?
How do I have faith? A huge question. Can it be taught or is it only something that can be found within? Can it be taught how to find it within?
I think I can now relate to Peter when he lost his faith and began to sink in the water. At least at first, that type faith is hard to realize, then hard to hang on to. Could just be a matter of practice makes perfect.
