I am in the process of trying to raise money for a mission trip to Kazakhstan next spring. The trip is through my college, and I really feel God's blessing on this decision. I need to have $600 by next Friday as a deposit and a whole lot more than that by the end of November. Please pray that God will bring in the funds neccessary, I know that He will provide all of my needs if it is His will for me to go.

More than that, however, please be praying for the people whom God is preparing for us to minister to. Kazakhstan is still recovering from its years as a member of the Soviet Union, and atheism has left a gaping hole in the hearts of the people that needs to be filled by Jesus.

Caromurp~ :smt049

There is nothing in this world like the Lord sending us out into His field prepared for harvest!
:-D

Where our Lord guides- we can be certain He will provide; all that is needed; and especially those who will recieve His awesome salvation- and those He will minister to- thru you Caroline. May our Lord open doors of financial provision for you according to His perfect will.

I request that He may cause your heart to know His pleasure as you respond to His calling to Kazakhstan. I ask also that He will cause you to wait in enduring faith for each step of His work to be completed, and may Jesus guide your feet to make them oh-so-beautiful! I also ask our Father in heaven to begin to furrow hard hearts to recieve the gospel thru His Holy Spirit, and to bring those in darkness out of their captivity, thru repentence, and into the love of His Son, Jesus Christ. :smt045

Caroline~ you might post a pic or two of Kazakhstan here to inspire our fellowship to pray over the people, it just helps to have something to focus on, ya know? I googled the name and got a lovely pic of a lake there called Kaindy lake. However, you probably have much more pertinent pictures to offer, or a website?

In the love and intercession of Jesus for you ... bonnie

I sent you a pm- Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for Gods' blessings for your missionary trip.

This is the Day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice & be glad in it

I'll certainly stand in prayer with you on this Caro! Mission trips are a real blessing. Hard, but a blessing. Keep us posted.

Thanks so much for the beautiful video that gives such great direction for prayers! I will visit it and chose something new to lift up each day.

SUPER! I am going to send this to my email church family, which is in several states, so they can all be moved to pray! :smt024

Thank the Lord for technology used to help the Lord's people to minister to one another and to those unsaved! How good it is to reach out in prayer to other nations across the world, there is something bigger in heart that grows there from it - an excellent way to look away from our countries trials for a time... and return to pray with more faith! :-D

I thank God for freeing this nation from the former Soviet reign. I thank God for making it possible for these people to freely worship, and ask that they may be given an open door to salavation, held open by the Holy Spirit to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Habakkuk 2:14 May the Kazakh people be a glory to God Most High, and may His light shine like a beacon to the younger generation, especially for those in Universities. Father~ please let repentence and salvation come to many professors and administrators in colleges in this country for the sake of Your Righteous seed, planted among them, to grow in the grace and knowledge of You. In Jesus name I ask, amen

Well, God did it!! I just wrote a check for the remainder of my funds for the trip :-) . We are leaving in 4 1/2 weeks, so I appreciate your prayers for us as we prepare.

My prayers for you Caroline, and for you too Tim. :-)

Well, we only have 17 days before departure day! Please continue to pray...I'm beginning to get excited/nervous/excited/apprehensive :lol

I leave in two days...Friday at noon to the airport, plane leaves at 6:00 PM. We will have a 9 or 10 hour layover in Frankfurt, and then another 6 hour plane trip to Astana. Please continue to pray for us, for safety and a spiritually successful mission...

...And please pray for Timothy too :yes

Caroline is now half way through her first flight if everything is going to schedule. Please be sure to join me in praying for her often.

The first flight is over and they are only a few hours away from landing in Astana Where they will meet up with their missionary hosts.

Prayed for Caroline, Tim...thanks for the updates.

Greetings from Astana!! :wave

It is 8:16 on Monday morning here. Finally had a chance to sleep last night after two full days of travel....boy was that needed! We had a wonderful church service yesterday morning after we arrived which I will have to telly you all about when I get home. It was a Russian Baptist church...but don't let the "baptist" part confuse you :-)

Thanks for praying ...c' BOAG-um!! (Go with God )

I am so pleased everything went well and is going well. Traveling is so horrible so glad for you it's over (for a short while).

So sorry I didn't come here before to get up to date with you and to pray for your trip before. I have to limit myself to the amount of people I pray for. As I don't want to say to someone, I will pray for you and don't, as I overload myself, or just do a 'pray for Caroline" (though there is nothing wrong with that!) Sorry - I know I haven't phrased the above paragraph well and it has come across weird!

Is there anything specific we can pray for you. Any daily concerns etc?

In the meantime I will pray that you will keep well, that you will have discernment in what you say, that your words and actions will be seen by those that need God and will come to know Him through your presence. :amen

Timothy (didn't cotton on to your name before!) you are so right, sometimes its the person being left behind is hit the hardest not knowing how things are and of course missing the person. As my husband can travel for weeks at a time it's not easy. Just hope Caroline has taught you how to cook or you will be very thin soon :lol Will pray for you as well.
