This Word 4 Today seems apt here:-

Today's Scripture

He will raise us up on the last day

And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day

John 6:39,40, and 54 NIV

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

2 Corinthians 5:1-4 KJV

If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh -- for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Romans 8:10-14 NASB

Weekly Meditation

You are my witnesses

My people, you are my witnesses
and my chosen servant.
I want you to know me,
to trust me,
and understand
that I alone am God.
I have always been God;
there can be no others.

I alone am the LORD;
only I can rescue you.

I promised to save you,
and I kept my promise.
You are my witnesses
that no other god did this.
I, the LORD, have spoken.

I am God now and forever.
No one can snatch you from me
or stand in my way.

Isaiah 43:10-13 CEV

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd prayed, on the way here, "Lord, show me if you want me to link this thread to the challenge to write a 50,000-words novel by 30 Nov:-

It'd take 2000 words a day for 25 days, if any reader feels led to share this with friends on Sunday at church

I feel strongly in my spirit that Sunday is the last service at home for maybe several folk who plan to spend the winter in warmer climes, & that God may be calling some to write a full length - (100,000/150,000+-words) novel over the next 3/4 months

I'll just yahoo writers talk - but I'm sure from interviews that many a writer 'of a certain age' finds it most fruitful to get away in winter & set aside 2/4 hours a day, aiming to write 1000-1500 words a day for 3/4 months -(allowing for re-reading & re-writes to get max quality)

Back to link..
