I just feel like the Jews got this one wrong. no bacon? their is nothing unhealthy about it, its safe to eat. So where did this command against it come from? Why would God tell them to not eat something if it never presented any real danger?

You seem to presume that God forbad the eating of pork for health reasons. I see no evidence of any "health" basis to the law - there are many rules in the law of Moses which have no obvious "utility".

I suggest that the Law was given to specifically set the Jews out as a distinct people, not for "health" or other more "common-sense" reasons.

then why say 'unclean' ?
Look at this statement from Lev 7:

But the person who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to the LORD, in his uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from his people.

It seems clear that the "uncleanness" is determined by having eaten food that "belongs to Lord". This is rather clearly not a "health" issue.

Things were declared unclean because of what they represented (sin) and not necessarily for health reasons...Although the health factor did overlap at times.

BTW...very catchy topic title :-)

I think there should be a time line for the science part.

I've seen that chart before, and have even seen Christians tare it apart. The chart chery picked both the Bible and Science for completley oposite statements.

The Catholic Church was the one who perpetuated the Flat eart theory, because there are passages that state it is flat. I'll look up the passage numbers, But off the top of my head, I remeber there was a passage that stated that if we climbed the tallest mountains, we would be able t see all the worlds edges.

The star part looks odd, and I would like to know if that statement was made by an astronomer.

The Every star is deffernt isn't a contradiction. All stars are differnt in size and density, but what makes up a star is pretty universal.

Air in itself is waitless, its the indevidual gases within air that has weight. Air in itself is the combination of gases in our atmospheres.

No comment on the wind thing.

The last is a statement about blood was about sacrafices. The blood of the fallen and of sacrificed beasts where of healing. Jesus turned blood into a symbol of healing, but only his blood. Human blood was viewed to be impure next to Jesus's until the discovery of our immunity and modern reasearch of the ciculatory system.

:-)

I am eagerly awaiting any passage that discredits the bible as Gods word.

What? I didn't say that. I said there are various passages that states the world is flat. I'm discrediting the chart, not God. :ohwell

Isaiah 11:12
12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH. (KJV)

Revelation 7:1
1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. (KJV)

Job 38:13
13 That it might take hold of the ENDS OF THE EARTH, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? (KJV)

Jeremiah 16:19
19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ENDS OF THE EARTH, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit. (KJV)

Daniel 4:11
11 The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the ENDS OF ALL THE EARTH: (KJV)

He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven and sends it to the ends of the earth. (From the NIV Bible, Job 37:3)"

"for he views the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens. (From the NIV Bible, Job 28:24)"

"Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea. (From the NIV Bible, Job 11:9)"

Isaiah 40:22:

"He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. (From the NIV Bible, Isaiah 40:22)

Sephers dont' have edges or corners. The person who mad eth chart cherry picked his choice of pasesges.

If the Bible says the earth is flat then it is wrong, the word of God cant be wrong and thus the Bible could not be the word of God.

that being said I am sure I will never find a bible verse that says the earth is flat.

oh boy. metaphors. Yep, none of those verses say THE EARTH IS A FLAT DISC. They simply say ends of the earth when referencing resources.. NOT the globe itself.

cool story bro.
