It's actually a mid=grade "prosumer" camera, with a so-so lens. When I was poor, I bought used stuff, and learned to do the best I could with what I had. I'm not poor now, but I still can't bring myself to spend thousands of dollars for a really good telephoto lens.

Give you a hint: Pentax doesn't spend a ton of money on advertising, relying more on word-of-mouth. The lenses are really good for the price, and you will get more performance for your money, if you get a Pentax DSLR.
If you can still find one, these are really good too, for most things:
Mirrorless, a truly great sensor, and a good relatively compact performer, other than having autofocus too slow for sports. It was a lousy seller, being stupendously ugly, briefly became really cheap until people started to realize what a gem it really was. I use mine for a lot of everyday and architectural work. If you can find one still discounted, you'll love it.
