Mother Nature

You know, when a person attributes to Mother Nature what should be attributed to God, they are worshiping the creation rather than the Creator. I imagine those who worship the fertility gods will find reason to dispose of unwanted babies.
Romans 1:24-25

New King James Version (NKJV)

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

As you pointed out, the history of 'religion', true religion and false religion, is taught in Genesis.

And I don't get bent out of shape about competing religions that seem to have been some kind of inspiration for a later, man-made religion of Christ and the gospel. As I shared, Christianity is the only religion where salvation is through forgiveness of sin, not the merit of works to remove sin guilt. And Christianity has the pre-Christian records of the prophets who foretold the facts of Christ's appearance and ministry and which were in fact fulfilled after the writing of those prophecies.

(I guessed on the code for the 'thumbs up' because I don't see smilies in the quick post box. How'd I do? Lol.)

Wow :o You rather boldly state many things as a matter of 'fact' even whilst claiming that some are in dispute. :chin It's a shame you chose not to substantiate anything but rely instead on statements like 'best estimate' etc.
Funny, I notice you didn't deal with any of those statements in your reply, nor did you choose to quote them ahead of your reply. Instead, you picked off the opening statements of entire paragraphs and attempted to represent my reply as rant rather than reasoned observation. Well, at least I know how you deal with adversity now. Thanks, I appreciate it. :waveMeanwhile, back at the OP ...

It's a way of ignoring God's sovereignty, and in most cases it is completely unintentional but nonetheless robs Him of His glory.

I would rather let the facts speak for themselves than bandy words on unsubstantiated guesses. Did I state anything that was not a fact?

If you say things like, "a matter of great dispute........ Irrelevant............. Another irrelevancy.......... nonsense........ Irrelevant yet again. ......... Utterly ridiculous............ destroys your claim of objectivity......... completely inaccurate" etc it would seem reasonable to expect you to justify that rant.

Perhaps you would like another try?
