I am heavily influenced by bands like, A7X, SOAD, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin etc etc

The problem is that i can't find a chirstian band that sounds good to my ears, i find alot of christian music is hollow and empty of the drive that i get form my bands.

i need a band that is in the same genre without copying other bands, ( the bands i choose all do there own thing)

is there anything good out there or am i stuck?

I don't listen to those bands. What genre are they? I listen to some Christian music. :D

Hmm... I don't know too many metal bands. Skillet comes close... maybe Creed. Flyleaf sort of. Ooh, I'm not helping much, am I? Sorry!

the problem is that the bands i listen too i REALLY listen to, i don't want a Christian band or any other band copying them, but instead i want fresh good sounding music thats Christian.

Pillar came close but it does not have that "hook" that the other stuff has.

I know what you mean... I don't mean to offend anyone, but sometimes Christian music does not sound new or fresh... sometimes, it doesn't even sound too great. One of the reasons why I listen to classical music and sacred music, with the exception of a few modern bands. I really think Flyleaf is fantastic, but her voice can be a little strange once you listen to it a few times.

i like day of fire, pillar, dc talk, audio adremanlie and newsboys but as good as they are they still leave my music stomach emtpy.

Yeah, I know what you mean... I've heard Pillar before. It's not bad, but it's not the greatest. Maybe Creed? I think the guy is on solo now...Scott Stap, I think his name is...?

Hey John - you might want to check out the bands playing at Cornerstone this year. They always have some awesome bands that play NuMetal / Metal / Hardcore / etc

The website is http://www.cornerstonefestival.com/

Hope that helps!

Cheers, Justin

But I'll keep looking if you will, tell me if you find somthing and I'll do likewise.
