Mustard?

Oats

Jesus said himself

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

American King James Version

I hardly see this in myself.....

I think we need an out pouring of faith.....

Our faith is the substance and evidence

it seems i lack this kind out faith

please pray for me....

Hello Oats the Lord is faithful and if you offer him even the smallest amount of faith He will increase your faith.

The mustard seed is tiny but once it is placed in the ground it will germinate and grow into a massive plant - I think I read somewhere that some varieties can easily reach 9ft or more. Remember though the action of planting the seed is required - some small thing but in creation just look at the result!

Not many of us have faith for the really big things in life but by taking the step of trusting Him with the small things then perhaps just like the mustard seed faith will grow.

For me I find that when I thank Him and marvel at His blessings and faithfulness and look at how much I have grown in my walk with Him I cant fail to see my own faith grow.

Oats, like all things faith must be exercised - if you plan to walk on the water you have to get out of the boat, but keep your eyes on Jesus because if you look at the circumstances (put your faith in worldly things) then you sink!

I relate Jesus statement to the idea that we only use a very small percentage of our brain capacity. I think it is generally accepted that we use roughly 10% give or take. Imagine what we could do if we could use 100% of our brain capacity!

Comparing a mustard seed to something infinitely large as in God’s realm, if we had as much faith as a mustard seed, which is just a little bigger than this (.) we could move mountains by mere desire. Imagine what we could do if we had the faith of a softball, basketball, earth, or infinity!

I try not to be too hard on myself when I recognize my lack of faith. Even Jesus’ disciples lacked faith and they knew him in the flesh, personally watched him perform miracles, and listened to His words in person. How many times did He refer them as, “Ye of little faith?” How much harder it must be for us to maintain strong faith!
