My sister came across this video of our old home on youtube. The new owners have built a new house and added some outbuildings and decks, but other than that, the place is like I remember it. I spent many hot summer days playing in the old barn, jumping off the haystack into the straw below, and swimming in the creek. They included the old Indian grinding holes, where the Indians that used to live in that valley would grind nuts and corn into meal. Not shown is the cave...a very extensive cave that I spent countless hours exploring.
We didn't have a phone, tv and radio was just on good days. Electricity was due to a generator and most of what we ate in the summer was in it's natural state in the morning. It was a great place to be a kid.
