I would like to ask prayers for my father-in-law. He is just acting very erratically and irrational. What should be a simple difference of opinion has spun out of control into his threatening to never speak to me again and move back to Arizona, leaving my m-i-l if she won't move with him.

None of this is characteristic of him...he's usually a very sunny tempered type, gets grumpy occaisonally but always on the ball mentally. He is diabetic, so that could be the source of the problem and also his physical heath hasn't been great these past few months either.

I'm very worried, both for him and for Steve. Steve's health is still shaky and this stress with his dad is really bad for him. I've spent just about as much time trying to keep Steve on an even keel over this as I have trying to figure out just what is really wrong with dad.

We're going to all get together tomorrow to talk things over and find out what is at the heart of his anger and frustration.

If you all can pray for him, and that we can identify and understand the source of his anger and frustration, so that we can help him out and be a support to him.

I will be praying for your FIL, you and your family, that the situation is resolved quickly.

Well, still no talk yet...neither he nor Steve want to...

I hate unresolved conflict, but there's nothing that I feel I should do at this point. Steve seems to think it's best to just let it "blow over".

Things were a lot different in my family...my family, we'd yell at each other, argue, fight...then it was all out in the open and we'd calm down, work it out and it was a done deal.

Not saying that was for the best either, really I'm not...just that this is different...kind of like the "elephant in the room".

something is going on and hopefully in time he will be able to express his feelings . For now, it's his choice on what to do . All we can do is pray . God bless.
