This will be a long post but I enjoyed going over the events of last friday night. I don't mind if it's ignored. =)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I prefer the spiritual nights (worship service and sermon) instead of the nights purely for socializing (fun and games nights) at my youth group but I still enjoy both very much so. My favourite fun and games event was last friday. I have not had so much fun in quite some time. It was a blast! :-D
We divided up into 4 different tribes to compete in 4 different activities.
Activity 1: Two tribes played at a time. Both would stand on platforms facing eachother. A punching bag on a strong rope (perhaps chain?) was in-between the two. One person from a tribe would have to swing it at the tribe across from them. If it knocked people from that tribe, causing them to lose their balance and shift their feet, they were out.
Activity 2: Our tribes were all sitting in our tribe colours squares. On the projecter in front of us there were questions we had to answer about movies and actors etc. If we knew the answer we had to run to our colour flag. First person from a tribe to reach their colour flag got to answer first. If they were correct a point was scored, but one was lost if they were incorrect.
Activity 3: Oh man this one was gross but a lot of fun at the same time. Each tribe had to eat a huge bowl of chocolate sundae, only, we couldn't use our hands or a spoon. The leaders decided to throw in a nasty surprise also. For example, my tribe found themselves eating chocolate sundae and banana with TUNA! Yes, tuna as in the fish! >.< As soon as we realized, I couldn't continue. It was just too sickening but there were some very determined people...
^^ That was the sundae only it didn't look so good at that point.
Activity 4: Have you ever seen the show Gladiator? I used to watch it as a young girl. I think this activity came from one on that show. People would have to run down a path while many people stood in the middle with long foam noodles, cushions etc to try and prevent those from running through. Their task was to make it very difficult for those people running through.
The purple tribe won (my tribe) yay! :smt023 It was so much fun! To top all of that off, the youth band played and we had a time to worship and praise God. It was awesome!
Then I found myself in pillow fights with some of my friends and fought over one of the pillows with my youth paster. Hehe. I can proudly say that I won, thought it wasn't so easy.
As hard as he tried to steal the pillow away from it, I just wouldn't let go.

Anyway, they were the main events of the night. Again, I had such a blast. It was fantastic! I just wish some of my friends who I had asked along came. They really would have enjoyed themselves but oh well, maybe another time.
