My honest feelings about this forum

This place lacks vitality.
I've tried to contribute but to little avail.
Yes my Christian view is very unique here.
But I see very little fellowship here. Apart from Bible theology discussions.
Surely some of you would like to see more energy and fellowship here.
Or some may blame the likes of me for deterring new members. Like evolving Christian. I was concerned about his prejudicial views. He could have stayed but pretended to be banned.
Anyway, I would hope this forum could show more life. The moderators are very tolerant here. The best I've seen. And stove bolts is an awesome owner.
How can we attract more people here?more traffic?

Forums used to be booming back 15 years ago--back in my teenage years. Now social media platforms have taken all the traffic.
I've seen more traffic on other Christian forums. Why is that so?
Mind you , they are stricter than this one. (Like questioning the Bible is not encouraged) Which is why I am not interested in them.

I don't know. This forum has been around a while, though. I think I've seen posts from as far back as 2004.

That is a very good question. We seem to average about 50 active members and it's just kinda hovered there. I know we lost our ranking on Google and I'm not sure why. Anyway, I'm thinking of changing some things up next weekend. I'm going to move the home page which is currently Wordpress and make the forum the home page.

As far as keeping new members, they need to feel like they fit in and belong. We will retain like minded members, but only if they feel like they are accepted and are being listened to.

We used to rule with an iron fist a few years ago, but then again we had to because the membership was hostile. I don't want a hostile site. Instead, I want a site where folks can form healthy relationships and grow in Christ. I don't mind the debate, but only as long as attitudes don't start to divide the body.

I joined Nov 4, 2004. We were the only Christian Forum out there. I remember when this group came in and really started a stir. They branched off and became cf.com

The original owner of this site was playing by the rules. .com is only for business, not forums. Hence we're .net

New fonts...fancy script?
Just a change of scenery,
Sorry I wish I could do it for you, I would if I could.
Also I would like to see a blog option.
Maybe a creative writing subforum.
Our home page is a blog... This is what I’m thinking.
/Fellowship is where the forum lives. I will move the forum to the root of our site (cf.net) and put the blog at /Fellowship.

From a visitors perspective, that puts the forum front and center and our blog as an adjunct entity. Currently, our blog is acting as the home page. I want to flip the two.
