My soul waits…

One of the more beautiful Psalms, as it focuses entirely on the Lord Almighty being a God of forgiveness.

1 Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord; 2 Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. 3 If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared. 5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope. 6 My soul waits for the Lord
more than those who watch for the morning— Yes, more than those who watch for the morning. 7 O Israel, hope in the Lord; for with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him is abundant redemption. 8 And He shall redeem Israel
from all his iniquities.

Glorious.

The Psalms are filled to overflowing with comfort for the soul in despair... Some only see them as poems...
I have experienced them as "life saving".
I once thought all of them were written by David... I can't remember what the ratio was exactly but I think he
only wrote 2/3rd of them.

Wonderful testimony. :) I knew a woman who was especially fond of the Psalms also, maybe for similar reasons.

75, which is half. Here's a brief piece on exactly which ones, if you were curious:

For me who has suffered deeply with Chronic depression spanning over my entire adult life... the psalms were like a healing balm of comfort. I believe that those who suffer with chronic pain of any sort are especially fond of the Psalms. My favorite is 91.
