My wife and I have only been married for two and half years. She is 30 years old and I am 37.
We are having lots of issues, and no money in order to afford counseling. So I have been trying to find free marriage education courses online and seem to becoming up with nothing. We are unable to afford books as well. Our library doesn't have many Christian books, at least no Christian marriage books.
It's possible that I am putting in the wrong search parameters and I am hoping that maybe someone on here has someplace that I can check out online.
Please do not say to speak to our pastor. I have done that and he recommends counseling but doesn't have an answer for us not affording it. None and I mean none of the churches in the area offer free counseling.
Things that are happening are, she wants out of the marriage, I have trouble controlling my anger sometimes. Not to the point of hitting her because I would never do that, but I do vent at her. We both snipe at each other during our arguments, calling each other names and hitting where it hurts most.
She wants a divorce and tells me so every time that we argue and even when we don't argue and are just discussing things. She says she just wants to be single again, with no wifely responsibilities and be able to come and goes as she pleases 7 days a week without worrying about a husband at home or having to do any household responsibilities, which she doesn't do many anyway. I do the majority of them.
On top of that we're expecting our first child at the end of the year. This isn't a new thing with her, she had been saying this since before we knew she was pregnant.
We are both Christians and we're both failing at our marriage.
