Many picture God as a gray haired man who is going to pat you on the head like grandpa does .
God is a jealous God and avenging and wrathful this is why people do not read the old testament where
the picture of God Manifestation is .

Nah 1:1 An oracle concerning Nin'eveh. The book of the vision of Nahum of Elkosh.
Nah 1:2 The LORD is a jealous God and avenging, the LORD is avenging and wrathful; the LORD takes vengeance on his adversaries and keeps wrath for his enemies.

Here YHWH destroys His enemies in wrath and vengeance.

Nah 1:3 The LORD is slow to anger and of great might, and the LORD will by no means clear the guilty. His way is in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
Nah 1:4 He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, he dries up all the rivers; Bashan and Carmel wither, the bloom of Lebanon fades.

The judgment is on a vast area beginning with all Lebanon, Bashan, Carmel, these are modern day enemies of Israel who are a thorn in the side of Israel. Ezk 28 speaks of their destruction.

Nah 1:5 The mountains quake before him, the hills melt; the earth is laid waste before him, the world and all that dwell therein.
Just in case you think this is a local event we read The World and All that Dwell Therein are effected.
The firestorm melts mountains, hills, the earth is laid waste,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, The Great Tribulation.

Nah 1:6 Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the heat of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder by him.

Who can stand before Him the answer is no one can. The fire storm that comes burns the earth with such a heat the rocks melt and are broken in the Great Earthquake to come.

Nah 1:7 The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.
Nah 1:8 But with an overflowing flood he will make a full end of his adversaries, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.
Nah 1:9 What do you plot against the LORD? He will make a full end; he will not take vengeance twice on his foes.
Nah 1:10 Like entangled thorns they are consumed, like dry stubble.
Nah 1:11 Did one not come out from you, who plotted evil against the LORD, and counseled villainy?
Nah 1:12 Thus says the LORD, "Though they be strong and many, they will be cut off and pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.
Nah 1:13 And now I will break his yoke from off you and will burst your bonds asunder."
Nah 1:14 The LORD has given commandment about you: "No more shall your name be perpetuated; from the house of your gods I will cut off the graven image and the molten image. I will make your grave, for you are vile."
Nah 1:15 Behold, on the mountains the feet of him who brings good tidings, who proclaims peace! Keep your feasts, O Judah, fulfil your vows, for never again shall the wicked come against you, he is utterly cut off.

The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is Yahshua the Jew.
The wicked are destroyed forever at ARMAGEDDON

Well that is a limited view of God with a very narrow scripture base.

You cannot build a truth on so narrow a base.

Yes our God is a just God and unrighteousness will be judged

But where is the grace? Where is the love, where is the provision to save us from such a righteous judge?

Your comment is slanted (purposefully so in my opinion) and does not give 95% of the picture that is God.

Yes God Judges....FEAR HIM. But yes, God also forgives and restores to righteousness all who come to Him.....draw near to Him

Only those who slap away the nail scarred hand of love that is reached out to them need fear the judgement
