Anyone know about their beliefs? Very freaky stuff....they believe gods are very manlike and the white race was the genetic work of a mad doctor. If you think mormons are funny, take a deeper looking into the NOI.
 
They are neither a nation--nor do they represent Islam, as Malcom X found to hisshock. They assassinated him for this reason!
 
Yup, I recently read a bunch of bio's on Malcolm X and now I'm reading one on Poole, the man behind the nation. :o

As the last page of _The Final Call_ declares in caps beneath a picture of Elijah Muhammad, "HE LIVES." Farrakhan writes: The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, I am here to declare, is risen. The Jesus you have been seeking and waiting for His return has been in your midst for 40 years, "but you knew not who He was." A Holy One was working among us, and it is only now, after He is gone, that we realize who He was. (Farakkan, "HE LIVES", "The Final Calls", quoted by Thomas H. Landess and Richard M. Quinn, Jesse Jackson and the Politics of Race (Ottawa, Illinois: Jameson Books, 1985), 94. ) It should come as no shock after the revelation that the one and only messenger for the black man is none other than Louis Farrakhan himself, the "Honorable Elijah Muhammad's National Spokesman." I, Farrakhan, have no power to give life. However, the voice of Elijah Muhammad coming through me is giving life to the entire Nation [of Islam]. I warn you that when you turn me down and refuse this truth, you are turning down the Lord, the Savior, the Messiah, and the Deliverer that you seek. This Deliverer is the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Yes. What a hoot. The origins are in the Moorish Science Temple, founded by Timothy Drew, in 1913. The "Nation" itself was founded by Wallace D. Fard, or Ford, a WHITE man, supposedly having Hawaiian parents. Allegedly an ex-San Quentin inmate. Went to Detroit early 30's to sell "African" garb and trinkets to the impoverished ghetto residents. "Disappeared" in 1934. Taken over by Elijah Poole, Georgia native, son of a Baptist minister. They believe that the black man is god. Wallace Fard is believed to be Allah returned. Then Poole became Allah. Now, Farrakhan,"Screwy Louie," is Allah. Sort of the "Allah of the week" club. Mingling of Watchtower doctrine and Islam.
Louis Wolcott(Farrakhan)was a calypso singer and entertainer(and he is still entertaining...)
They believe the white race was made by a mad Black scientist by the name of Yakub, some 357 trillion years ago. The whites are devils cuz they're made that way. The end of the rule of the white devils was supposed to be...1914!!!! Just like the JW date!!! The 24 elders in Revelation are actually Black male gods. The Virgin Birth of Christ is denied. And the physical Resurrection.
Their beliefs and wants are clearly spelled out inside every edition of their newspaper, "The Final Call."(The Final BORING Call).
As they believe Fard(Ford) was god, then they are worshipping a white man, and a white man's religion. If Yakub created the white devils, then the Black man is the creator of evil. Go figure.......

Unfortunately, all this crap is hot stuff in the prisons. Most guys get into it for protection and special diet, and out of it when they leave prison. Unfortunately, a lot of their weird ideas stick, and it can be hard to get them divested of it, cuz it has more crap content than fertilizer.

There is a GREAT, GREAT need for active PRISON MINISTRY, if for nothing else than to confront the Muslims.

The Black churches need to start TEACHING their youth, and quit with a lot of the froth.

I get some really religiously screwed-up guys in here, believe me. :sad

FALSE PROPHET ELIJAH MOHAMMED.
 
Mohammed admitted that he was simply an ordinary man. So why don't the Muslims believe him? They are thus admitting that they follow a liar.
 
Nation of Islam follow the teaching of Elijah Mohammed, not to be confused with Mohammed!
 
He admitted he was a real 'black man' which is different then being a just a man. He was the highest goal the black man could reach...in the NOI. :roll:

I am reading a book called "The History of The Middle ages" and am now on the chapter about Islam. It said that Mohammed actually admitted that he didn't know whether or not his visions came from God or the devil. "A house divided against itself cannot stand." Mohammed also said that he was an ordinary man, so why don't the Muslims believe him? How can they call him a liar and say he's telling the truth at the same time? Their own contradictions should alert them to the confusion in their religion. Again, a house divided against itself cannot stand." They will find out exactly why when they die.
