I have Cherokee blood and for a long time have been interested in this movement.
They seem to be quite secretive about inquiries into the Church and it is not widely publisized.
I happened to stumble on a ceremony in the Joshua Tree National Park one time and it was quite amazing! It seems the whole community was singing individual songs that kind of flowed together to form a "chorus". The stars were out in full and there were lots of owls and coyotes milling around. I noticed a spiritual feel to as a listened to the signing in the distance that seems to be lacking in many traditional "white" Church settings.
At any rate I may end up trying to participate in one of these outings soon in Arizona and was wondering if anyone had any friends or personal experience with this movement......?
Here is a good link for general info that I have found....
