I have Cherokee blood and for a long time have been interested in this movement.

They seem to be quite secretive about inquiries into the Church and it is not widely publisized.

I happened to stumble on a ceremony in the Joshua Tree National Park one time and it was quite amazing! It seems the whole community was singing individual songs that kind of flowed together to form a "chorus". The stars were out in full and there were lots of owls and coyotes milling around. I noticed a spiritual feel to as a listened to the signing in the distance that seems to be lacking in many traditional "white" Church settings.

At any rate I may end up trying to participate in one of these outings soon in Arizona and was wondering if anyone had any friends or personal experience with this movement......?

Here is a good link for general info that I have found....

The Body of Christ is not limited by race. I would like to know their foundational beliefs before I would take a stance on the congregation but if their foundation is sure, I would think this would be a good thing for you.

Well they put the Bible in as their "Holy Book"

Also they use oral traditions that are handed down generation from generation......

Well, the mormons also use the Bible but distort it. And the catholics love to refer to oral traditions. Those are two great examples of why even though the surface may look good, you have to open the cover and really look at what is inside, cause it might not be good.

For anybody interested in NA Spirtual Music.....

I just bought this CD off Amazon and it is AWESOME!

Most of the music is done with a simple drum and rattle and NA language....

The Christian lyrics are something like.....

"He is the only One,
He is the only One,

I am the only One,
I am the only One,

I am forever offering life eternal,
I am forever offering life eternal"

Anyways check it out at Amazon.....

They have sound clips you can sample.....

Highly recommended!
