NBA TALK

How does everyone like thier new coaches so far? :D :) :sad :crying:

What's up with M. Redd? I watched him at Ohio state and never knew he had an outside game like that. :o

The rookie of the year race. Who's in front.

What happened to Boston?

NY climbing.

L. James falls short of Jordon so far, doesn't everybody? I'm a Cavs fan and still think he has great up side, he's doing better than I expected.

Who wins the east?

Who wins the west?

Who's going to win it all?

The play-off race is on. 8)

I'd like to see New Jersey win in the East and Minnesota win in the West.

I think The T-wolves will win it all.

I used to be a huge Knicks fan, but they got a new president, new head coach and coaches, and basically a new team. There are only 5 of the 15 players that played last year still on the team. I don't know why they would ever get rid of Eisley and Van Horn. How dumb can they get? Mutombo hardly gets any playing time anymore. I still like the Knicks though, but I would much watch a New Jersey, Minnesota, or Phoenix game now.

Has anyone heard anymore news on the Brooklyn Nets? I haven't heard anything in a long time.

I am, and have been, unfortunately, a Nuggets fan. Thank you, Lord, for Carmello!!!

I don't follow NBA too much, though. I'd like to see a team like Minn. - or some other team that hasn't won it all before - win it all.

Lebron, for a 19 yr. old, is simply impressive. Jordan had college experience before his NBA rookie season... But you are right, no one player ever has or ever will control the game of basketball like Jordan did. (Although Wilt Chamberlain might be a good argument against my blanket statement)

 Don't forget 'Magic'. 8)

Just watch out for my Blazers. Lots of changes this year so they are starting all over, but next season they will dominate the west.

I like Carmello, he's got game. There was a big debate here about who we should take in the draft. Either pick was a good one. Both Carmello and Bron have great upside. Wildatheart, your in the playoff race, your team is struggling now, but that could be good. Maybe they'll get hot at the start of the playoffs. Better now than later.

I like Paul Silas so far, I don't know if he'll be the one to take us all the way though. It's been a while since we had a big man coach. I didnt like the trade with Boston at first, but i'm sold now.

No one likes the Lakers?

The playoff race in the east is great. every game is big.

I'm not sold on Indiana being a lock. I think the east is wide open for the team that gets hot at the right time.

Sac town is my pick for the west.

That is a bold statement. The west is loaded with good teams. I do not have a favorite NBA team, I just want certain teams to lose (Lakers, Celtics and a few more).
  • I will agree that with the changes they have made the Blazers will make an impact next year.

Hey God's child, don't give up on the Knicks yet, Lenny will do good things for this team. It might take some time. He's one of the better coaches in the NBA. I'm sure he has plans or he wouldn't be there. Unless Lenny has changed, things will start to happen. He will not settle for just a 500 team.

I don't mind watching/supporting a team that is not going to win it all, as long as they are on the upswing and improving. To me, this is the best time to be a fan.

On ESPN classic they had on a show last night about Magic and Bird, Jordan and the Pistons, Wilt and Russel. They said Wilt averaged 50 points a game one year  , is that true?

T wolves looked tough last night.

Chicago is playing tough. I really like their new guard, but I can't remember his name.

Detroit is playing tough too.

I wish the Cavs would make up their mind, playoffs, lottery, playoffs, lottery.

NJ seems to be in a slump.

IT'S AWSOME BABY! (My Dick Vital impersonation)

NNNNNNNNNNN (buzzer sound)

Diiiiisssssqualifiiiiieeeeed. :silly:

Mavs are a mess with all the player moves they made last year. Shawn Bradley is not very good in my opinion and we really miss the toughness of Van Exel and Raja Bell.

lakesider, the mavs do seem to be in a bit of slump, I know the feeling. You're playing us soon, we'll take you out of that slump, we're good at that.

God's Child...Yes that's his name. I think this kids going to be a good one. Even though their record does not reflect it, the bulls are playing good ball right now, and Kirk Hinrich is a big part of it. Do you know when he was drafted, what pick?

Drumminlogin, what do you think about D. Miles, I really didn't want us to trade him, but we had too many young players and couldn't find any chemestry. I always thought he was going to be good down the road. So far, I like Mcginnis alot, he's solid, nothing flashy, he just gets the job done. We needed that. since his injury, we are 0-3. He did play one of those games but was playing hurt and went o for.

What's up with Detroit, can they go far into the playoffs only shooting 30%?

The Lakers and the Pacers both seem to be getting their acts together. Both starting to roll at the right time.

Time for the Mavs and the Cavs. Lakesider, if the Mavs can hit open jumpshots, you'll kill us. Z (center) is playing with a broken nose, and has reverted back to his soft playing, and our rebounding has been awful. We have been giving up offensive rebounds like they're going out of style. Nobody is blocking out. Lebron is still having a hard time getting over picks on defense, and when he goes under he's leaving his man open on the three point line. The teams with good three point shooters have been killing us. Our defense has been killing us. My guess for tonight...

Mavs 105

Cavs 89

Alright, add twenty points to each score and I nailed it. I should have accounted more for the poor defense each team has been playing. :-?
