Hey all,
Two years ago, when I was a member of the Baptist Student Union at college, I was asked give the final prayer to close a bible study group session. I froze up! I didn't know what to say or how to say it. All I could do was remember some of the prayer requests that a few had volunteered and spitted something out, but other than that, i didn't know how to give a prayer out loud in front of a group. I felt embarrassed.
The fear of being called on to do this again haunted me and I lost interest in returning to the group cause I didn't want to make a total fool out of myself. Well, I just joined a new church and I'm attending bible studies in the singles and college ministries. I'm affraid of going through this again.
Can any of you please give me an outline of what to say or any ideas of what to say when giving prayer to a group? I'm not the best at thinking on my feet in front of a large group, so I'd like to be better prepared...just in case.
Thanx in advance for your help!
