I was living a sinful life (sexual sin), but now have repented & confessed them. How can i tell this to my girlfriend, i love her so much, i don't want to hurt her but i want to be honest also. And i'm afraid she might leave me.:sad:shame

It really depends what you mean by sexual sin unfaithfulness could be an issue masturbation/porn can be brushed over a bit. In some cases its just best not to say spare her the pain if noone else is involved.

It depends on your relationship. If you're hoping to one day marry this girl, then yes, you'll eventually have to tell her. With that being said, there are appropriate and inappropriate times for sharing sexual history. You shouldn't just start sharing all your sexual sins if you haven't been together for very long. Also, when you do share, you shouldn't share all the details of stuff.

I think sexual history normally comes up during premarital counselling, so perhaps you should talk to your pastor if/when you get engaged and tell him that you need to confess something and you're not sure how to go about it or how much to share. And premarital counselling (once engaged) with a pastor is a great idea because if you don't need it, you two will probably find it easy and fun, and if you do need it, then it will help your marriage.

One final caveat: I'm not really qualified answer this question because I'm very single and have no experience in relationships.

Some things are best left to privacy. You should feel obligated to tell things to another that won't adversely affect them.

If, during your past, you picked up an STD, then absolutely you need to tell her. If it was something illegal that you got arrested for, and are now on a Sex Offender status, you need to tell her.

I understand that christians put a very high level of standards upon "being a virgin" until you are married. If she asks, you cannot lie about it.

This isn't all encompasing, of course, . . . and there may be other issues. You may need to explain yourself if you want more helpful advice.

Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

[Matthew 19:27-29 KJV]

Being open and honest now will affect your future in ways you cannot even fathom at this point. You need to be an open book.
