Need prayer.

Hey saints, I know this is not the correct board to ask for prayer but this is where most folks who know me are, so although I have a request on the correct board I though I'd just sneak one in here in the hope of a double portion of covering prayer for my wife and myself.

Our situation is hard at the moment,... maybe very hard would be more accurate.

No details necessary.

I'm asking you to just cover us in prayer that God strengthen us and give us wisdom to know what we must do and that we can endure.

Often recently I've felt that God has been far away and does not hear us. Yet I know that scripture says that when He is most close is when the dust from His feet makes things seem in confusion.

Still, what you see makes it hard to believe.

I asked for this some weeks ago, but I did not want to be premature in an update.

But I think I can speak a little now.


First, thanks all,.... including those with whom I might from time to time strongly disagree with agree regarding doctrine.

For me separate doctrines divide the one expression of God in humanity to humanity, but Christ cannot be divided, and so inwardly I firmly believe all believers are one in Christ. We share a common bond in Christ.

Thus if I sense the Spirit directing me to ask for prayer, I trust in the Spirit to move in whomever He desires in order to get what He needs.

All prayer in the Spirit is a sacrifice that is well pleasing to God.


This said, what my wife and I are encountering is a turn in our life and we want to be clear and strong about it and in it.

Additionally, the Adversary does not necessarily want us to endure and make this turn and so there is the struggle against his distracting onslaught.

Further, as we endure and the Adversary's hinderance tactics fail, he is cunning enough to change his tactics and start presenting a counterfeit way of "turning".

We need to be guarded against this also (e.g. speaking to a person about Christ is good, but God may have wanted us to speak with the second person we met and not necessarily the first. But in our excitement we missed this small detail).

We don't want to (read can't afford to) miss the small details.

So, if you can, keep praying for our clarity and strength in this turn, for the necessary provisions to make this turn, and for the defeat of the Adversary's efforts in preventing the turn that the Lord wants us to make.


Things started to progress just hours after I asked for prayer here, so be encouraged, and please persevere. Some days my being feels like how Moses' felt when he was holding his arms up so that Israel could win the battle. At some point he required the direct intervention help of others to finish the job and defeat the enemy.
