Networking Issues

I was recently made the IT guy at work even though I have no education, training, or experience in networking. Anyway, I am learning my way around our network which is just about all 2000 and XP based.

The problem is that one woman has an Apple laptop running OS X (if I remember correctly). I cannot figure out how to install a network printer. Also, it seems that with Apple, logging onto your computer and logging onto the network are two different processes.

I cannot access the server with the Apple using her network ID, although I have changed her password and even deleted and recreated her profile. I can, however, access the server using my own ID or as Administrator.

Apples are just bizarre to me. Does anyone know if there is a solution other than throwing it out and getting a Windows based PC? Can Apple properly network in a 2000 environment (it might be 2003 on the server)?
