Mainly I wanted to try out my new art supplies, especially the castel fiber pens. All of my ideas for these drawings involved canines with wings, for some reason. I'm better at digital art than I am traditional, but I love these pens so I may be doing traditional art more often now. xD

Sounds like you got pens for Christmas!

Yup. I kinda knew I was getting the pens, though; we had been at an art store and I was going on to my mom about all the awesome supplies, and she was like "I could get something, if you'd like." I asked for the pens. (Wanted copic markers, but those are super expensive and I'd use the pens more often anyway.)

I suppose your mom at the moment kind of encourages your art interests more than the hard rock / heavy metal. But she may come round eventually.
