Now that I've already posted a bunch of times. I guess I will introduce myself. I'm a 60-year-old retired dad and grandpa, divorced and living in Florida after moving down from cold Michigan.

I accepted Christ on May 18, 1963. I've held every position in churches except that of pastor. I was in the Air Force from 1965-1972. Then I got stupid and got out, and I regret that decision to this day.

I was a soloist in churches for nearly 40 years until I developed a chronic cough so that the only singing I do now is in a choir where I sing the bass. I've sung on radio and TV back when I was young. :

I saw your reply in my intro thread so I decided to reply to your intro thread. Sounds like you really enjoyed serving your country and I know I"m not alone in my gratitude for you doing so.

At least you're in a better climate now. Michigan, huh? I never could sing well, ought to stick to the choir.

Hi lawhammer,

I was in California for 9 months in 1970 while in the Air Force. It never rained a drop in all that time and got VERY dry. I drove to San Francisco once and crossed the Golden Gate Bridge at 95 miles per hour. It was either that or get run over! : Driving those hills there was an experience!
