Hi, its good to be here. I have been a Christian for many years. I was brought up in Texas, so the faith is pretty much a part of the upbringing. :) Boy, I remember the days when I cursed at home and my dad hit me around the head with the Bible whilst my mom gave my piercing stares.

I am a huge truck fan, they are a big hobby of mine. I like going to truck shows to see how others mod theirs to give me ideas. Born and bred in rural Texas, country music is also a big hobby, literally this is all I listen to. It drives my neighbors insane! Especially as I'm up at 5 am and Hank Jr. is blasting out.

Hey, thanks for the welcome. Cool, me and my grandpa always used to go to Monster Jam. I love big rigs, I'm not a small car guy. Have you been to many monster truck shows?
 
No, sadly I haven't been to any yet but I would really like to go. Btw, I always go by first impressions and you just made a GREAT one and so that's why I'm following you now. :)

Sure! No problem and much appreciated!! :biggrin So tell me more about yourself. I'm actually into some stuff that a lot of other Christians find controversial like Halloween, magic tricks, and Harry Potter.
 
Thats interesting. I remember the trick a treaters when I was back home, my uncle almost shot a guy who was snooping around in our back yard, he though they was having our barbecue away. :lol
I don't like Harry Potter but I do like to see some magicians, I'm not one who believes they are wizards but entertaining. My mom calls them 'godless fraudsters who snatch your last dime'.
 
I'm an engineer so I like building stuff. I like working on tractors, I have made all kinds of mods for them. I have actually just completed my car port. It has a heated floor, triple insulated walls and specialist grates so I can wash my truck inside.

It certainly is; the Sherlock contained within my avatar is portrayed by Jeremy Brett. I also enjoy the modernised variants of Sherlock Holmes, however, I’m more of a traditional fan myself.

That's alright you don't have to like Harry Potter, but yeah I find it just to be a fun fantasy series (even though I haven't read the books or have seen the movies for a long time myself):thumbsup and the kind of magic that is portrayed in there isn't the kind that the Bible speaks against and it isn't real. It's no different than magic in Disney movies and most of the witches and wizards are good and there are certain Christian elements in it. As for Halloween, go ahead and checkout my virtual Halloween party if you'd like to because (with maybe the exception of ghosts) none of that is real either and it's just for a howling good time!! :shock
