I have been a member for a while but I don't think I have ever introduced myself. My name is Preston and I hail from North Carolina. I served in the military for 6 years honorably and am a two-time war veteran. I converted to Catholicism about two or three years ago. When I went to Iraq I felt God leaving my life. I don't know if it was a trial to testmy faith, but that was in 2004 and I haven't found him since. I need help my brothers and sisters. Someone help!

Welcome to the forums Caliptix!! If you want to talk or ask me any questions feel free to PM me if you want. My advice is not to base too much on feeling. There are times in life where we all feel alone and apart from God, sometimes its because we have unconfessed sin in our lives that seperate us from Him. Confessing our sins to Him is a must, because there is nothing that He doesn't see in our lives. We need to make a daily effort to pursue Him & know Him more through His Word. Also through prayer which will result in our drawing nearer to Him and by doing so, He will draw nearer to us. Hope we can encourage you!!
