New Mister Rogers Movie

I watched when he was original...
Back in the late 70's or early 80's even young Eddie Murphy was surprised that Mr. Rogers was actually not role playing when doing his television show on PBS. He still did a parody of the program on SNL...(btw even then Eddie and Bill Cosby didn't get along)

This preview seems to be trying to take Mr. Rogers and make him out to be something that he wasn't. Mr. Rogers show was all about exploring and trying things (like musical instruments and making peanut butter) and accepting failure and/or limited success and showing respect and courtesy to others regardless of what or who they were. Even if you were the guy in charge you couldn't Lord it over others. You had to respect everyone (including yourself) at all times. It was a good children's show.

Well them giving Mr. Rogers props by doing a movie about him? I'm ok with that.

I must confess, I'm still a HUGE fan of Mister Rogers. :biggrin2
