So week after next I'm going to be there. Other than the WWII museum is there any thing else I should see?

Every single binette stand you can find on the street.

The French Quarter is more then just bourbon street.there's also some fine eating on st Charles. You can go down that bourbon st to eat .I suggest the day time and I'd still open the house of blues.

Yeah right, and stop in on Patrick O'Brien's and get a hurricane.

So a lot of eating and drinking eh?

I'm just not a fan of Cajun cusine.
But I like jazz....the music that has no end, it just stops. The instruments that talk and play with each other. Great stuff.

But the paddle boat tour sounds OK...cept for its thumping... Lol.

But I have fun no matter where I am.

I spent a week in Nawlins. I indulged in the one vice there that seemed most innocent: food. I'd catch a cab and ask the driver to take me to one of his favorite local places to eat. I was on business, so my expenses were covered. For a foodie, it was a dream come true.

If I were there a week I would go to Mothers Restaurant at least twice.

How are the lines for some of these places?

The place for beignettes is incredulous I'm told.
Said go during off peak hours.

I was there once. Typically, I love shellfish, so I ordered shrimp one night for dinner, and they brought the darn things to me on a plate in their birthday suits. Nasty eyes looking at me with legs all sticking out. NOPE! My bad for not knowing, I guess, but I stuck to binettes from then on. I don't much like food coming at me fully intact the way they are in the wild.
