A short while back I posted how when, over time, I continue to think about what happened in my different testimonies, I get new revelations on the same event.

And I (well, The Lord) got another one about the time that the Lord gave me a super cool dream wherein I was allowed to visit Heaven to visit with Father God. But it was busy and many others were there. Father God would speak to someone and so forth but when He finished...it was like a press conference or something and everyone jumped at once and began talking, trying to get a turn to talk to Abba.

Abba would look over to me watching all this, and He gave me that all loving smile which told me, He's going to get to me soon and be patient. I was and after a short while, He came to me and we talked some...and at one point out of the blue, He says to me, don't call me Father...Ok.

But! I did find that a little odd at the time. In scripture He says don't call anyone on earth Father, and now He says to me, don't call Him Father?! Uh....(Tilt)

But I get it now!

I (We!) are to approach Him in different ways at different times. He is, our Daddy, our God, our Judge, our healer, redeemer, teacher friend and many other things. So we wouldn't approach Him as God the Judge of us, for a Daddy situation that we were having. And THAT. is why He said that to me. I had approached Him the wrong way at that moment. Even if it was a dream, lol.

So keep that in mind how you should approach Him in prayer. He doesn't ALWAYS want to be approached as Almighty God. We are His Children so He loves kiddie time and having a moment where He is able to put down His gavel, lol.

When I posted that dream I said how He told me not to call Him Father. But at the time, I had no clue why. I am glad that no one here asked me, why would He do that? I had no answer. But I do now! Praise the Lord!!

Personal revelation.
God tells us what we need to know.

God seems to speak to you in many ways. I talk to God and wish I would get something back. Maybe i am wrong to ask for a reply back?

I pray the Lord reveals Himself to you in a special personal and powerful sort of way. Sometimes I think He speaks to my spirit/sub-conscious in dreams I can't remember yet knew they were meaningful in some sort of way.

God does talk to all of us in many different ways. His primary way is through His Word so it's more important than many realize to read the Bible and as much as possible.

And remember that Prayer is not a monologue. Prayer is a Dialogue. So when you pray, you will ask something, and when you do, pause and stop talking and listen for Him to answer you. Many times He will. Something will pop into your head. Either a thought or a scripture. This is pretty much where you have to become as a little child and believe without proofs or understanding. At first it sort of felt like a game. But what I'd do is to consider the thought or scripture as if it was God answering me, but, did the thought or scripture answer the question I asked? Many times it does. And at the same time my carnal mind was screaming at me what an idiot I am. so I told him to shut up and then I pray again and answer the Lord and do it over again. After doing this for awhile two things became apparent. One was that the Lord is vague in His answers to me. He's not big on details, lol. The second thing was that when the Lord speaks thoughts into my mind, He...talks differently than I do so it got easier to know and believe that it is true, He is speaking to me. Because a lot of times, His grammar in How He talks is not exactly like I talk or think, So I know it's Him.

His way of talking vague to us has a couple reasons at least that I figured out. One is we are slow learners. Another is I think He wants me (us) to ask about the details because He likes the conversation with us. I used to only ask for big things. But He told me one time that, I should ask for little things too because He loves to help us in any way and He loves the increased conversation with us.

This all took place after I started inviting the Lord to go with me out into the world and to work. And I would talk to Him in my work truck while driving from one job to another. At first I felt foolish so it was sort of a game. But I kid you not Sister, after awhile it became a regular conversation between us. Yes! You should expect an answer from Him. Believe it.

But how will He choose to answer? That's up to Him! One time I asked the Lord a question in Prayer and He was silent to me. I heard nothing. I continued to pray about it for a couple weeks and...nothing! Then one day I wasn't praying or thinking about it, I just had a thought of hey it's been awhile since I read the Bible. Let's read and when I sat down to read, I flipped it open and the first verse I read on the page I opened it to answered the question that I had been praying about. Just like that. You want the Lord to answer you? Ask Him to and then read the Bible. Ask Him to make it open to what He wants to say. And roll with it.

Learning to be able to hear the still small voice of God within yourself took a bit of time and diligence but one day it will become apparent to you that, hey this is no game, this is real. The Bible says He knows the thoughts of man. He IS inside of us. Christ in us, we are in Christ. So of course He can talk directly to us. But it is up to us to have the diligence to pray and read in search of Him. Talk to Him like your friend and don't forget that He is with you. He is within you. He is beside you. Only believe and do not doubt.

Sometimes He starts the conversation. Ever have that thought, whoa where did that come from. I was thinking about something else! In those times, I'm learning to say, Is that you Lord? And don't ignore that stuff when it happens. Many more times than you think, it is God trying to talk to you. He told me that He wants us to be able to hear His still small voice, and instantly obey.

And remember that Prayer is not a monologue. Prayer is a Dialogue. So when you pray, you will ask something, and when you do, pause and stop talking and listen for Him to answer you.

Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God:

That's our problem at times because we become to impatient and give up to quick.
