Hello everyone, my name is Leon and I have been "born again" since 1973 when i was at the fresh age of 18. I was at that time a "hippie" and thought we could change the world, well...at least our country and society. I was involved in drugs and drinking and believed the world revolved arriund me. 2 guys i worked with at Chrysler were key to bringing me to the Lord. I "wrestled" with the Lord through my conscience for months before breaking down and getting on my knees and confessing my sin directly to Jesus and proclaiming to Him that I believed He is real.
I say "directly to Him" since I was brought up Catholic and for those of you unfamiliar, in catholicism, you confess to a priest and he absolves you of the sin. After my conversion I had to be de-briefed by the Holy Spirit. As I read the word of God I was enlightened to many of the falsehoods in the catholic religion.
So, here we are 36 years down the path and I must say it has been an intersting walk with the Lord so far. I look to forward to learning from some and guiding and helping others.

Hi Uncle Jed....love your name. :lol You wouldn't be a Clampett, would you?
...or from Tennessee (as in Tennessee Jed)? :D

We're about the same age and we both grew up in the RCC. Welcome to the site, Jed! :wave

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. To Vic, the name is a kind of joke between my niece and I. I would always act like I didn't have any money and tell her she had to pay for things, plus I did it to my wife, Debbie. So my niece started calling me uncle Jed after....you guessed it, Jed Clampet and so I decided to use it for my email and user name for the aquarium/reef forums I am a member of.
