Just wanted to politely introduce myself to the forums. I have read quite a few of the posts throughout the different boards, very interesting and enlightening. Seems like a nice group of people, intent on sharing insight, faith, and truthfulness. What a breath of fresh air!! I am a mother of two (18 and 11), work and live in Southern California, belong to a small Lutheran church, and look forward to finding a sanctuary of intelligent thought and faith in these forums. Thank You.

Southern California huh? I'm from Southern California too. Born in Oakland [across Bay Bridge on the otherside of S.F.] and raised in Long Beach on the beach outside of LA. Matter of fact, I viewed the Queen Mary being tugged boat into dock many years ago. It's been a couple of years since I've been back home. Came out and stayed in Sausalido on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge veiwing Alcratraz from the deck in the mornings over a wonderful cup of French Vanilla, smelling the wonderful salt air as the fog lifted from the Bay. I cried having to come back home here in SC......yuk!

Anyway....we're glad to have you! You are welcome in this place in the name of Jesus.
 
Thank you all for your nice welcome. And Thank You, Carol, for your personal post. I love San Francisco and the surrounding area. Sooooo beautiful. Nothing like it. I live in San Diego, which is also a nice city. But doesn't have quite the culture, architecture, scenery, and mayhem that San Francisco does.
