Anyone ever read Nicki Cruiz's testimony "Run Baby Run" otherwise known as "the Cross and the Swicthblade"?

I thought it to be a very powerful testimony!

Yes, when I was 13... locked up in the institution. It had a very profound effect on me as I did not live a sheltered life and could relate to the gang violence and street mentality.

I think what stuck out the most for me, is when he had all that money from the offering, and he gave it to David Wilkerson (preacher) and he made his gang give their baskets of cash as well. It really showed me that even though sombody is a bad person, they still have the potential to have integrity through their honesty.

What a great and awsome God we have!

I have "The Cross And The Switchblade", David Wilkerson is one of my favorite preachers!

He also sends out a monthly newsletter thats really good.

Oh, these are actually 2 different books and you should read them both. Run Baby Run is Nicki's fabulous testimony. Moreover, his life has proven to be a testimony because now he is an old man but still fervently living for Christ. He was not a weed that sprouted up quickly and withered. He is one of the rare ones that fell on good soil.

The other book is David Wilkerson's testimony and he is in his 80's now I think and he is also still standing firm for God. He has a church called Times Square Church and you can listen to his sermons on-line. I love to hear him preach!

As for Run Baby Run, some of it was a little violent for my taste, but it was not graphically so and based on the testimony, it could not be avoided. He lived a violent life until he found Christ. Both of these books should be in every Christian library.
