My husband also enjoys wildlife photography and especially birds. Great photo. I did not realize they had so much of a yellow wash.

It's hard to see in this exposure, but there was a bright sun and backlighting. It might be the color of the light reflecting off the lower leaves. Notice the upper parts are not so tinted.
