I think giving birth to life is an amazing miracle that God would like to work in all of our lives...It's the evidence of a husband and wife's love for each other. 
While I'm not married, I do think that children enrich a marriage and bring a husband and wife closer...
I would pray about it, ask God to reveal His will for you, and try to keep your heart open for His way.
