you mean illegals? that is why I have no insured motorist coverage. driver license testing in florida is a joke. they don't even take you down the block.

I have that too.Someone has run into my daughter twice and has begged for her not to notify her insurance company.
Sometimes I have wondered how some people on the road have gotten a license.

if you are over a good scientific studied age that is usually when vision is harder to use and also other health issues. a mandatory driver test with an eye test should be. I have been nearly hit by the eldery whom don't turn their head to see if any car or pedestrian is coming. they use the bumper to tell them if something is there.

Why do you presume they are all illegal immigrants? I'm sure there are plenty of native born Americans who have had their licenses revoked for drunk driving or for other reasons, but keep driving anyway.

on this note. I know a lady who has so many accidents that few insurance will cover her. she is so bad at driving im surprised the state hasn't retested her. she has had more accidents in the past eight years then I have and most have in their lives. she also at one time hit 20 mail boxes on the same road and didn't move over till the last one. how on earth she was tested for drugs.

I have seen some elderly on the road that I swear can not see.or have kept them. here we allow the snowbirds to renew by mail.

I live in a border state with plenty of illegals here. cops tell me where they live and my former boss has been hit by two illegals whom fled. it is that reason I have non insured motorist coverage. he had to chase one down to get him to stop so that he could find out if he had insurance. the cops said we see this all the time. we could arrest him, but he wouldn't be deported for long.
I also tried to help an illegal get his citizenry. he drove without a license and had no insurance. my dad drove without a license , he had his pulled as he at times was unable to drive to do health issues. he gave up driving back in 2000 and hasn't been able to drive since. he isn't even 70.

yes, the cops can do that. my grandmother six months before her 92nd birthday had that done to her as he got lost, and called the police. they took her license after they escorted her home. she went to the doctor and said fix me , and he did then she turned her license in and said im too old to drive. she died six months later. a firecracker that one. she hated republicans, pro gun nuts.lol. oh wait Im one and so was my grandpa.man she hated when he carried a piece to work. he would argue over that. anyway. she said I will be darned if the state of florida will tell me I cant drive.

This is kind of interesting. I've seen other threads where people have been complaining that illegal immigrants are able to get all the same things as citizens, including drivers' licenses, but here people are complaining that they don't have these things.

why have a government for americans if we do that? declare America to be from the southern hemisphere to the northern most point of the Americas? do we then also mandate them to serve jury as that here is required and dl are used. if they are legal then they are able to get a dl.im not complaining they don't. im stating that many that don't have either are illegals. do we them just grant them citizenry, if so then watch the citizens of mexico come in droves and our country couldn't handle that. if they came in and we processed them and they were on work visas, sponsorship, student visas or in the process of nationalization then let then get a dl if they want one.
I could use google earth and point out areas that had few Mexicans when I was a kid and now are mostly immigrants. within two decades that happend

I understand that illegal immigration is a problem, but I don't see how it's the DMV's job to do something about it. Should citizenship be a requirement for getting a driver's license? What about legal immigrants, such as college students from around the world? Should they have to ride at the back of the bus? Aren't they allowed to get a license to drive while they are in the country? And what about legal immigrants who work in the US? Can't they drive? I don't see any connection at all between immigration, whether legal or illegal, and driving without a license. Both are problems, but as far as I cans see, they are unrelated problems.

all legal immigrant can have a license. I know a few them. I work with one. he has been in America for over 20 years before he became a citizen and has been in possession of a cdl class b. another has a class e. one of at least four that I know that work for the city. so they should be able to:
1) vote? if not why not as in many states jury duty is based on the driver license as a means to find others verses voting registry.
2) they can with ids then open and account , and get credit, obtain land and other property.
3)pay taxes,
all that without being a citizen. why then deny them voting?
its really annoying in my state to renew my license. I thought getting my military id was a nuisance. as I have to have a background check for the first time. that went back 10 years and , they check what you put down and interview each person you name and where you worked. but that id isn't good enough alone. so now I have to have birth certificate, a copy of lease or mortage agreement, with a utility bill. verified ss card. if my dl isn't expired I cant use it for one of the two required id's. the federal government has my dna on FILE.

im not against driver's licenses. driving isn't a right but a privilege. gun ownership is a right per the constitution. but I do hate the raping I get for the priviledge to drive. 100 bucks or more when I renew my cdl.
