It would make sense for the military to pattern robot controls after video game controls, since most soldiers played video games for years before enlisting. They are used to the controls.

at present we are long time away from the robots they want to use and it isn't drones, but things similar to what is in terminator. I have issues with proxy wars. it takes away the hell of the war and makes it easier to use. that argument is already strong against drone use. I do think drones are great but for intel or very limited strikes.

Voters will send robots when they are available. They don't want their children to be needlessly put in harm's way.

remember that well, a riot happens. the national guard is called in. a squad of 8 lines up at the command of the squad leader who as his team is is also a robot. the command given is squad of skirmishers wedge formation! they fall in to that. yeah that will be an eye opener. no compassion. that would make kent state look like nothing.

uhm, yeah sure. so the national guard will just go away to being robots? that will change when enemy robots will return the favor of no mercy or that well police don't die. a robot can be trained to hold and control a person. don't believe that, uhm how is that our phones now we can walk or run. detect motion , pressure sensors.motion sensors and response algorithims. its feasible. you can punch a robot. he wont over react. he will respond as programmed.

Robocop is decades away at best. For now, you can buy a robot to sweep your carpet, or mow your lawn. That's about it.

Robocop will be programmed however voters want them to be programmed.
