This is a small devotion, something to think about. But just think about this, all believers celebrate "Easter" or rather "Resurrection Day" (I think that word is better) as "Easter" comes from the Babylonian name "Ishtar" who was the goddess of fertility. Yet hardly anyone celebrates Passover.
On Passover, we celebrate the slaying of the lambs in Egypt which brought about the exit of the Hebrews from Egypt. The "Lambs which were slain point to the "Sacrifice Lamb of God" This points to Yeshua/Jesus who was crucificed for our transgressions and for our iniquities on Calvary's Cross.
Had not the Passover occurred, the Hebrews wouldn't have left Egypt, they might have been interbred with the Egyptians, which means no Messiah born in Bethlehem, No Messiah, no death on Calvary, No death on Calvary, no resurrection, no resurrection, our sins would not have been delt with.
But since the Passover did occur, the Hebrews left Egypt and got to the Promised land, and Messiah was born in Bethlehem, and later, was crucified for our iniquities, died on the cross, and was raised from the dead on "Resurrection Day", So, there we have it,
No Passover, No Resurrection Day, but since we Know (about) Passover, we Know Resurrection Day.
