Yes, it's true that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

Suggesting something as ridiculous as "there was no rain before 2500 years ago" - that condensation was non-existent at some point in human history, requires some evidence to back it up.

as for a great flood thousands of years ago, There are non-biblical accounts of these disasters. it is widely accepted in scientific circles that the end of the last ice age caused lots of floods as the ice sheets receded. No doubt some of these were enormous, and would have appeared to cover the entire world to those witnessing the disaster first-hand.

I realize that scientists think they know better what happened in history than those who were there but they don't. They always miss the details that the people who lived then knew. And that's why they try to change history so often, most specifically, the bible. But they never can. So it wouldn't be a good idea to ask scientists what happened thousands of years ago. It's better to rely on eye-witness accounts. ;-)

Simple answer is no.

The ancient Egyptians were around at least as far back as 3400BC, so unless they had evolved into a super human race that didn't need to drink water, the claim it never rained before 2500BC is simple false.

Did you know that the sphinx shows signs of great water erosion ?, last time i checked its in a desert.

Did you now that the current rate of desertification allows only for around 4400 years.

Egyptian history is well recorded and documented. Simple fact is of course it rained before 2500BC. It's been raining for billions of years.

You know for a name like "deep thought" you don't think too deep.

i will find the citation hold up.
