Yes, I'm an atheist but before you ban me outright let me explain what I hope to accomplish here.
First, I won't be trying to convert anyone. Second, it occurs to me that there's a great deal of misunderstanding and distrust between atheists and believers. It's the misunderstanding and distrust that I'd like to address here. I can assure everyone that my values are the same as your values - with one exception of course. I can show you that not all atheists are fire breathing, baby eating, devil worshiping monsters. If you will allow me, I can answer questions and in that way possibly overcome some of the misunderstanding and distrust that believers seem to have for atheists. In turn, I can learn from all of you.
