Stuff and things, stuff and things...

Well I was in Barrow-in-Furness for a while, and thoroughly hated the horrible little town, so now I'm back in Manchester and much happier. I'm currently thinking (and why not?) about looking into acquiring a PhD, and have been talking with some chaps who have funding for some very nifty research involving....

... weeell that deal is by no means 'done' and there is only so far I want to tempt fate, so let's just cross our fingers on that one. ;)

'Side from that, I have been going to and fro, meeting an old friend or two and writing a novel for my own enjoyment. Apparently, -or so a critic tells me-, it is really rather good, but I'm not about to believe that without a fight. ;)



So it's been fair. Ups & downs and always plenty of interest. I'll have to make a point of hanging around here a bit more so I don't lose touch again. :-D



And I like that new smilie; it's about time you got that lil' devil here.
