"What A Friend Jesus Is"
What do we know about sin? It is wrong. God does not like it. Satan, on the other hand, loves anything that is not good in God's eyes. God knows not only every sin, but how consistently we commit each one. Psalm 90:8 (King James Version) 8Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. Sin is not rewarded. Psalm 103:10 (King James Version) 10He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. Sin, wickedness, and ungodliness reap or bring more of the same. Job 4:8 (King James Version) 8Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same. Sin can rob us of joy. Jeremiah 5:25 (King James Version) 25Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you. Love of money, earthly lusts, and things can serve as a doorway to sin. Especially when these same things are placed above God. 1 Timothy 6:9-11 (King James Version) 9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (King James Version) 1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Above all else sin is a choice. We have but to choose to live a godly life and believe in Christ to be free from sin. For through Christ Jesus are we free from eternal condemnation. John 3:16 (King James Version) 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. *My Sin Or Fault List* 1. Dishonored parents 2. Swear when angry 3. Entertained some less than kind thoughts of people 4. Taken the lord's name in vain 5. Commited adultry ..... The list could go on surely for a long time....... Jesus though when He died for me, washed these sins away and gave me hope so that perhaps I might come to live with Him in Heaven as well as better my life through Him. None of us are perfect. So no matter what your faults. No matter what your mistakes. Know that Jesus loves you. That there is also hope for you. That you are not a mistake. You are not garbage but a creation of God, made in his divine image for a purpose.
